What is Access Verified?

Access Verified is a nonprofit focused on making live music more accessible for disabled fans and for artists. We work with venues to help them meet basic access needs and give fans the tools to know what they're entitled to.

Is this just for big venues or festivals?

Not at all. We were founded with small venues, DIY spaces, and indie tours in mind. Everyone deserves access, everywhere!

I’m a fan with access needs. What can I ask for?

Probably way more than you think! You’re allowed to ask for interpreters, accessible seating, and more. Our fan resources break it all down so you don’t have to guess what’s "too much” anymore. You are not a burden <3

I run a venue. What if I can’t afford interpreters?

We get it! With the correct knowledge, you’ll find it’s actually very easy to offset, and that’s why we’re here. We offer guidance on grants, tax credits, and other ways to make access possible for venues of all sizes. We also have a verified list of ASL interpreters who are ready and willing to operate within your budget.

Does this mean venues will get “graded” or called out?

Nope. This isn’t about calling anyone out. It’s about building something better. Access Verified venues are the ones who’ve taken the pledge to make their space as accessible and welcoming as they can, and to keep learning as they go.

Is Access Verified legally binding?

No. We're not the government. We’re here to connect people, share tools, and raise the bar. But the ADA is legally binding, and we’ll always point you towards the facts and your rights.

How do I get my venue listed?

Fill out our short pledge form on the registry page. We’ll follow up to get you listed and share resources to help you stay on track!

I want to help. What can I do?

Share the site. Share the mission. Ask your local venues if they’ve heard of Access Verified. And if you’ve got skills: design, legal, organizing, translation - reach out. We’d love the help!
